Our Directors
Rubin Stevenson
Coach Stevenson is currently the Athletic Director at Frostburg State University and is in charge of all facets of the department. He has been around the game of volleyball for over 15 years, and has directly overseen the volleyball program at Frostburg State. Rubin is a coach at heart and brings a wealth of knowledge to ensure the club, coaches, athletes and families conitnue to grow.
Stevenson took over the FBVC in the winter of 2019 to ensure club volleyball remained available to the Western Maryland, West Virginia and PA athletes.
Stevenson, earned his bachelor's degree in social work from Salisbury in 1987, and his Masters in Administration and Supervision from CCSU.
Rubin and his family reside in Cumberland, MD.
Nicole Lewis
Coach Nikki brings a unique combination of playing, coaching and other industry experience to the club. She earned her bachelors of science degree in sociology from SUNY Institute of Technology in 2011 where she was a four-year setter, and earned her master’s in Recreation, Parks & Sports Management from Frostburg State University. She had a two-year coaching stint at Utica College from 2011-13 where she was responsible for all facets of the volleyball program. She worked as the head coach for the Starlings Volleyball Club for two years from January 2016-2018 where she instructed athletes ages 10 - 16. From August 2018 to January 2021 Lewis, held the Assistant Volleyball Coaching position at Frostburg State University .
Coach Nikki is currently the Assistant Athletic Director for Engagement at Frostburg State University
She resides in Frostburg, MD with her husband Daniel, Little Girl Mabel and puppies Hank and Yogi.
